California again...

We have visited the sunny state of California a lot this summer. First, we went to Disneyland with the whole Burt family and then we headed up north to Modesto to visit my parents (Grandma and Grandpa Wasden). We had so much fun traveling as our own little family and then visiting my parents. There is nothing like being home, especially when my mom makes breakfast every morning and does our laundry...you can't help but love moms! It was also great to visit with my dad, I really miss not being able to just sit down and talk with him more. Hopefully one day they will be a little bit closer! Here's a little of what we did.

Monterey Bay Aquarium

Thank you Mom and Dad for a wonderful trip! We created so many lasting memories, we love Grandma and Grandpa Wasden!

Cute little Cohen

I love how messy feeding babies can be. Cohen LOVES eating then putting toys in his mouth and smearing all the yummy, sticky, whatever he's eating all over. Needless to say it's a mess and for some reason a revelation that I have to wash him off with a wash cloth when he's done. He hates that part, but what baby/child does? Cory used to describe the way Cohen ate as the Beast from Beauty and the Beast when he's trying to use a spoon. I think that was an accurate description! Now he does great opening his mouth and loving every bite.

Disneyland!

This year for our Burt Family vacation we changed it up a bit and headed to California (instead of Maui) for some fun in Newport Beach and Disneyland. Although the weather in Newport wasn't that great Disneyland was awesome. We had so much fun together as our little family and an extended family. Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Cohen did awesome on his first flight!

On the plane and ready to go! Can't believe Maya is already old enough to need her own seat!

Maya and Talmage ready for Disneyland!

LOVE our double stroller. It was perfect for Disneyland. The kids even napped really well while we were at the park, thanks to the awesome stroller!

Happy Third Birthday Maya! We celebrated her birthday in Disneyland and had so much fun. We ate lunch at Areal's Grotto and met the Disney Princesses. It was so priceless to see Maya in awe with the "Magic of Disneyland"!

Minnie Mouse

Mickey Mouse

Cute Cohen was an allstar! He was so good for being drug around all day for a week!

I Found Maya this way the day after we got home. It's fair to say she was so EXHAUSTED from all the fun!

All world's a stage...at least for Maya

Maya is VERY into anything princess, magical, pretend, and enchanted these days. I love it! It is so fun and funny to listen to the things she says. For example we were playing outside and a plane flew by. Her exact response was, "Mom, look a plane! I think it is flying to Neverland." I am loving her little imagination and cherishing all the imaginative moments.

The other day Maya asked me for a "big apple" (she didn't want me to cut it up like usual) which was odd because that is her least favorite way to eat them. I gave her one and this is what took place for the next hour...

"Oh look a poison apple from the evil queen" (I'm always chosen to be the evil queen!)

"I must take a bite!"

"Oh...now I will sleep forever!"

We had a great time "acting" this out! I guess I know how to get her to eat "big apples" now!
